With 15 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, I am now embarking on a new chapter as the owner of Rockwell Housing Solutions, LLC, which I formed in September 2024.
My career began with a solid foundation in property management, where I spent five years at the corporate level overseeing a portfolio that grew from 20 to 57 properties. After that, I transitioned from property management to development, where I have spent the past decade. I have utilized funding sources including 9% Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), State Tax Credits (STC), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP), National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF), Federal Home Loan Bank’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Illinois’s Covid-19 Affordable Housing Grant Program (CAHGP), as well as conventional financing.
To date, I have competed in 12 states and successfully secured over 35 LIHTC awards, amounting to more than $28 million in annual credits, which have enabled the construction of over 1,800 affordable housing units nationwide. I am fortunate to work with an incredible team of professionals who are guiding me through each stage of the development process—from conceptual modeling all the way through stabilization—as I now learn the complexities of the ownership aspects of our industry.
I am a Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P) for Low Income Housing Tax Credit with Spectrum Companies, and I have passed the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification process with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). I have also attended numerous courses on Fair Housing and LIHTC compliance.
